Crookwell District Hospital is an 18 bed acute care facility providing general medical services. The hospital has an emergency department operating 24 hrs a day seven days per week.
A range of community health services are provided, as well as outreach services from Goulburn Community Health, including mental health services.
The hospital is supported by a number of Visiting Medical Officers who also provide General Practice services in town. The hospital is highly regarded by the community and well supported in terms of monetary donations.
Crookwell is a picturesque town, less than an hour by car to Goulburn and an hour and a half to Canberra. The town is in the middle of rich agricultural and pastoral districts.
It is a pleasant, rural town. Crookwell is renowned for agriculture and sporting fixtures.
The town is high on the Great Dividing Range and close to Wombeyan Caves.
