We are so glad you will be starting (or recommencing) your career with us. We have gathered some useful information and onboarding forms below to help you prepare to start your new position.
Once all online checks have been completed you will receive a Letter of Offer. You will need to review the Letter of Offer and if you agree you will then need to accept the offer of employment, terms and conditions of your employment, job demands, acceptance of NSW Health Code of Conduct and other personal details.
Accepting your Letter of Offer will prompt our online system to activate tasks to continue your onboarding. It is essential that you complete these tasks so that the onboarding process is finalised in preparation for your first day. Completing your onboarding tasks will generate a StaffLink ID and your IT Access.
Throughout the onboarding process you will receive regular phone calls and written support from our Recruitment Team.
You can check the status and action any tasks assigned to you throughout all stages of the process by logging into the NSW Health Careers Portal, clicking onto 'My Applications' and then selecting ‘My Tasks’
If you have already been given your StaffLink ID (also known as your employee or assignment number) you can commence your mandatory training in My Health Learning.

My Health Learning (MHL) is a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) that delivers and tracks learning for the NSW Health.
To access My Health Learning please follow the steps below:
Type https://myhealthlearning.citc.health.nsw.gov.au in the address bar of your web browser or click link from your local intranet page.
Enter your Stafflink Employee ID and password and click the 'Login' button.
Note: If you have accessed My Health Learning before, you will be taken to your personalised home page. If this is your first access, you will need to accept the terms and conditions.
The Southern NSW Local Health District Employee Orientation Program is designed to provide all new staff with the necessary information, access, and training and education, to ensure that they can carry out the duties of their position effectively and safely, within an appropriate time frame. SalaryPackagingPLUS is Southern NSW Local Health District’s salary packaging provider.
Salary packaging is an employee benefit available to NSW Health staff. It uses pre-tax income to pay for everyday expenses, reducing income tax and increasing your take home pay. The majority of staff benefit from salary packaging, including mortgage free homeowners and those with a HECS/HELP debt. The average employee can save over $1,800 per year in tax by salary packaging.
SNSWLHD employees who are full time, part time or on a temporary contract may be eligible to salary package. Casual employees need to contact SalaryPackagingPLUS to discuss their eligibility.

Staff identification (ID) badges are an important part of our corporate uniform and are required to be worn at all times when at work and at work associated events.
All staff ID badges contain a staff member's photo, full name, employee number, position title and site location.
You can start the process of applying for your Staff ID badge as soon as you have accepted your Letter of Offier.

A StaffLink ID is a NSW Health employee number. StaffLink is the single, statewide platform used for managing the key operational aspects of NSW Health’s people and the rest of its assets. It’s used by eHealth NSW, HealthShare NSW, agencies and local health districts.
You will use your StaffLink ID to access NSW Health Online Applications such as My Health Learning to complete eLearning modules.
