Moving forward with the health of the Snowy

The Jindabyne HealthOne Community Consultation Committee is (CCC) the local voice for Jindabyne and surrounds, providing a direct connection to the local health services in the Snowy.

The CCC is your link between the community and Southern NSW Local Health District, aiming to ensure the delivery of a strong and robust health service for your community.

If you’d like to help contribute to the future of local health services, then the CCC would like to hear from you.  The Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Jindabyne HealthOne, with Chair Lisa Linton ably supported by a skilled team of locals including Barbara Amos, Bruce Hodges, Martin Timmins, Helen Blackmore-Lee, Peter New, Linda Beaver, Lauren Vinney and Maree Eishood.

Some of the issues the Committee is working through include local Mental Health support programs and finding ways to help community member’s access financial assistance through the NSW Government’s Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAS).

The Jindabyne HealthOne Community Consultation Committee is always interested to hear from you, the community, about concerns, compliments or queries that you have about public health services in the area.  If you have any questions or comments, contact Renata Sheehan, Community Engagement Manager, on 0477 322 107 or email renata.sheehan@health.nsw.gov.au.

The 2019 NSW Government budget committed $24 billion in recurrent funding as part of a record $26.7 billion health budget in the 2019/20 financial year.  NSW Health is finalising individual budget allocations with a focus on improving health services and patient care, supporting families and boosting jobs in regional and rural communities.
