COVID-19 TESTING TO CONTINUE AT THE OLD BEGA RACECOURSE

Southern NSW Local Health District will continue COVID-19 testing at the Old Bega Racecourse, Bega. The new location allows for better traffic flow as well as easier access for both the community awaiting testing and staff running the clinic.

COVID-19 testing clinic will now close at South East Regional Hospital.

The drive through clinic at the Old Bega Racecourse will also be open Monday to Fridays 8am – 2pm and weekends 9am - 2pm. No booking required.

To access the testing clinic, vehicles need to enter from Auckland St, turn right onto Jacksonia Grove moving towards the corner of East St. Traffic control will be in place.

If testing is urgently required please contact South East Regional Hospital.

COVID-19 Testing at Pambula Hospital is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.00am - 1.00pm.

SNSWLHD has been notified of new venues of concern in the Bega Valley. For the latest venues go to https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/case-locations-and-alerts.aspx

Anyone who visited one of these venues at the times listed is a casual contact and must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. Staff will be contacted separately by SNSWLHD’s Public Health Unit regarding their testing and isolation requirements.

Everyone in the region should be alert for any symptoms that could signal COVID‑19, including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever. If symptoms appear, people must isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.

There are more than 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW. A full list of SNSWLHD’s clinic sites and hours is available on our website: https://www.snswlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/our-services/infectious-disease/covid-19

We urge everyone 12 years and older to please also come forward for vaccination as soon as possible. Bookings are available at NSW Health’s vaccination clinics as well as GPs and pharmacies.
